Jason ‘Eyes’ up first home for March

Ten members of March AC took part in the Eye 10k road race on Sunday. With 396 finishers, first home for the club was Jason Perring with a time of 40.39. First lady for the club was Debra Wait with a time of 42.27, 1st vet 45.

Fenland Running Club members were out and about in various parts of the country on Sunday competing in the Dereham Runners 10 mile, the Eye Community Runners 10K and the MBNA Chester Half Marathon.

At Dereham, in a field of 180, Robbie Howlett was first home for FRC in 34th position overall in a time of 1.08.38. Maire Irlam was 7th Lady overall but took 1st prize in her age group.

At Eye, in a field of 396, Ady Martin finished 33rd in 39.23; Nick Meekins was 307th in 56.33 and Sarah Rippon was 365th in 1.03.10. Travelling to Chester for the half marathon, Laura Arnold was 2,161st in a field of 3,620 and finished in 2.02.40.
