Twenty runners from Fenland Running Club were amongst the 16 competing teams at Whitemoor Prison in March for the Frostbite League. The course starting and finishing at the prison outskirts took in a multi-terrain five mile route much of which was cross-country and slippery as the hard overnight frost lifted from the surfaces.

Despite absence due to injury of several of their fastest male runners the ladies carried the day and the team managed a very creditable seventh place on the day. Rebecca Cousins was second lady home and Nicole Coughlin (98th) and Ann Trett (133rd) finished well enough up the field for the overall running points on the day to move Fenland from 9th to 7th overall after four races.

Overall results: 37th Ady Martin 30.40; 52nd Rebecca Cousins 31.33;60th Paul Arnold 31.53; 66th Tim Chapman 32.09; 98th Nicole Coughlin 33.51; 99th Andre Pittock 33.54; 121st Paul Weigand 34.46; 133rd Ann Trett 35.34; 184th Colin Simpson 37.14; 188th John Chapman 37.25; 213th Maire Irlam 38.11; 216th Adam Chown 38.26; 222nd Dave Hood 38.43; 293rd Jane Greenwood 42.48; 315th Cheryl Chapman 43.54; 317th Laura Arnold 43.58; 333rd Scott Bywater 45.14; 383rd Julie Garner 50.25; 384th Sarah Rippon 50.40; 418th Graham Wesley 56.10.
