Luke Rowell has been named as player of the year at Tydd St Giles Golf Club.
The Wisbech 17-year-old has played well throughout the year especially in the November monthly medal when playing off a seven handicap, he put in a round of gross 69 net 62. He had started the year playing off a handicap of 10 and is now playing off 5.5.
The club believe Rowell has the ability and commitment to be another Tydd home grown scratch golfer very soon.
