March were looking to bounce back positively after last week’s disappointing 
result at Cambridge.

They went behind but the returning Simon Coe soon equalised for the hosts.

March started the second half with more attacking threat and Coe scored his second of the game after good work from David Haslegrave and Stuart Mills.

Ipswich equalised with five minutes left.

Man of the match: Simon Coe. Next: away at high-flying Sudbury.

East Men’s League 5NW

Cambridge South 3rd 3, March Town 2nd 4

On an unfamiliar water-based surface Cambridge South scored twice. However a goal from Jody Betts kept March in the game.

MoM Betts scored a second half hat-trick.

John Mair and Tony Manze played well.

Next weekend: home against Long Sutton 3rds.

Cambridge University 3rd 4

March Ladies faced the toughest match they’ve had in a long time.

Cambs were 3-1 up at half time. In reply Louise Minnis and Bekki White passed the ball into the D where Minnis was able to score.
