March Town 9,

Cambs City 4s 0

March moved to first in the table due to Peterborough slipping up and made it 10 wins out of 10 with a very comfortable victory over a Cambridge side who had beaten them in the reverse fixture earlier in the season.

March took a 1-0 lead when Jody Betts collected the ball from outside the D and took it past a couple of players then smashed it into the goal.

Betts set up Stuart Mills and March then went 3-0 up after captain Mat Bamford fed Betts to deflect the ball home into the net.

It was soon 4-0 when Dan Shirley picked up a loose ball in the D and smashed it across the keeper to score before the break.

It was all March once again after the break as Matty Wallis notched twice and Betts finished with five. Man of the match was Jody Betts.

Next weekend March host Peterborough in the top of the table clash. Push back is 1pm at Neale Wade.

The 2nd team game got cancelled as March couldn’t raise a team.

The Ladies had no game this week.
