The conditions on Tuesday were near perfect for a ‘float’ evening where high pressure and light breezes mean that riders can maintain speeds beyond expectations.
Once again the Wisbech Wheelers event was visited by elite rider, Barry Charlton of Lyme RC Swinnerton Cycles, this time riding a three wheeler ‘trike’ and although these machines are considerably slower he still posted an incredible 21.40. Fastest of the home riders was Mike MacInerney with 21.47 followed by born again racer Jason Kierman in 22.04. Third Wisbech rider home was Stuart Emmett with a ‘pb’ of 22.27.
In fact the evening was so fast that more than half the riders posted personal best times and those that did not make the event missed what may have been the best evening of the year.
