A total of 54 Shotokan Karate school students gained new grades at The Hudson Leisure Centre, Wisbech, at a OSKA UK grading session.

Students attended from schools in Emneth, Terrington, Outwell, and Wisbech. The event covered two sessions, one for Little Samurais and white belts to 8th Kyu and the second for 7th Kyu to 4th Kyu.

The students have been preparing hard for this over the previous months and the results were seen on the day and all should be congratulated for the excellent effort.

The benefit of training over the past two years under Senior Senseis like world champion Sensei Anne Hastings 6th Dan, Sensei Kevin Leigh 6th Dan SKKIF and Sensei Ivor Garner 5th Dan is now showing.

Special mention goes to Kira Rickett and Joseph Beresford for excellent performances in passing Junior 3rd Kyu. It has been a great year so far for the school with events in Hemsby, Winterton, Czech Republic, and Ireland to come and expanding classes.

The club is seeing that some students who have been training for over 10 years since the age of 6 or 7 are achieving very good grades at school and have grown into very rounded and focused people.
