Wisbech Rugby Club U11s travelled to Bourne on Sunday and put in two excellent performances.
Wisbech firstly faced a big Bourne side made up of U11 and U12 players. In a close fought contest Wisbech won 10–5, hooker Oliver Simpson bagging both tries.
In the second game Wisbech bagged four first half tries to none.
Final score: Wisbech 30 Skegness 5, try scorers Frank Etherington, Ben Fouracre, Cameron Finlay and Finlay Wilcox (3). Wisbech’s form for this season reads: 19 wins, 1 draw and 1 defeat.
Player of the week was Finlay Wilcox with a hat-trick. Winger Max Smith, centre Rhys Mould and lock David Betts put in their best performance of the season.
Wisbech U9s suffered a rare defeat against Ely winning the first match 10-0 (Jack Fowler and George Howat tries) but losing the two following games 5-0 and 10-0.
Nicholas Little, Howat and Tim Bateman stood out.
Wisbech U8’s were away for a trio of games against Bourne. Final scores were 5-4 to Bourne, 5-4 to Wisbech and 4-3 to Wisbech.

Oliver Mann, Jonathan Harding and Sam Curwen showed fantastic skills. The youngsters are training on Sunday in preparation for the Spalding Festival on March 11.
Wisbech U7s won one game and lost one at Bourne on Sunday.
In the first match Arthur Wilcox and Ashton Webb scored four tries each and Nye Simpson added a further score as Wisbech won 9-8. Bourne won the second game 8-6, Webb grabbed another hat-trick and Wilcox another two tries, Seth Williams completed the scoring.
