Riders brave the elements for Open race

Wind, rain, sleet and snow did not deter a large entry from local cycling clubs in the Wisbech Open 10 mile TT.

The solo event was won by rising star of King’s Lynn CC, Daniel Bloy in 22.29, followed by vet Andre Dyason (Team Swift) in 23.10 with Evergreen vet and ex-national champ, Ian Cammish (Sonic cycles) in third in 23.13.

Next were two Wisbech Wheelers, vet Jason Kierman and senior Andy Bean, who along with winner of the age related category Paul Ashby took the team prize.

Fastest lady was vet, Ann Barrett of Fenland Clarion in 31.22 and the tandem event was taken by veteran Mike MacInerney with his 11-year-old daughter Lucy despite a late start.

Her twin sister Eve partnered vet Paul Sims but needed a tyre change due to a puncture in the last few miles.
