Sutton had their work cut out in this Prem B fixture but came away with a well deserved point on Saturday.

In the second half Uni opened the scoring but just 20 seconds from time Sisson fed Featherstone who laid the ball to super sub Hales who made no mistake.

LSHC Mens’ 2nd 4, Bourne Deeping 2nds 1

After a couple of sloppy defeats Sutton came out at a different tempo with a revised formation and the defence reinforced with the return of Simon Clarke.

Grantham’s experienced side outlasted Sutton’s development squad in a scrappy div 6NW (N) fixture that saw four yellow cards. Sutton goals: Kane Portass’ and Ian White.

LSHC Ladies 2, Letchworth 3

This top of the table clash bought the best out of both teams. Goalscorers, Long Sutton: Fiona Gray, 12 minutes and Leanne Woodhead 18 minutes.

Player of the match: captain Woodhead who scored a contender for goal of the season.

Goals: Emma Howell four, Kierman a hat-trick and Baker one from her non stop assault on the Bourne goal.
