WISBECH will try again on Saturday to continue their run in Rugby Union’s Junior Vase against London Exiles after the tie was postponed last weekend.
This is the first time Wisbech have been drawn away in the competition this season and skipper Tom Long is expecting a tough game against an Exiles side that have lost only two games in the Surrey Division One.
A victory on Saturday would leave Wisbech just three games from a Twickenham final and every local player’s dream match at the English home of the sport.
Long is expected to make his first appearance in the competition after spending four months on the sidelines with a complicated fractured thumb that required two operations and wiring.
He said: “It was disappointing the game could not go ahead last week as Greg Brownlow is not available now. They look a very good side, and as with all London sides, are big and strong.”
James Hodgson, who was unavailable last Saturday, should be in the squad this week.
