Top vet Paul Ashby was back to winning form as rain threatened but held off for the Wisbech Wheelers Tuesday evening TT.
Ashby recorded 22.01 followed by Mike MacInerney in 22.27 and third man Stuart Emmett was the only other rider inside 23 mins with 22.56.
Leading Wisbech lady vet, Elaine Roesner was partnered by her husband Ken of King’s Lynn CC and hung on his wheel all the way round to record an exhausted but well deserved 25.04. They were chased all the way by minute man Andrew Ward but were still in first by 2 seconds. New vet Julian Van Daalen put in a 25.17 ride on his road bike in his first ever time trial and will bear watching in the future.
In the Cafe Sprints on Sunday Karl Belding made good use of his track experience to take 2 of 3 with several riders in the mix including new vet, John Talbot and even tandem pair Carl Murley and daughter Eliza on Sprint 1.
