Five members of March AC ran the Huntingdon Charity 10K race on Sunday.
First home for the club was Pete West with a time of 39 minutes 50 seconds putting him in 20th place overall. Next home was Andrew Larham in 28th place with 41.04. Geraldine Emmins was 143rd crossing the line in 47.47. Maura and Pat Brown ran together finishing in 1.26.07.
Two Fenland Running Club members did the same race. In a large field of 665 finishers Martin Jennings was 24th in a time of 40.36.
Although somewhat further down the field in 608th, Sarah Rippon’s (pictured) finishing time of 1.10.02 was a massive achievement coming back from a long term Achilles heel injury in her ambition to get back to compete in the Great North Run in September.
