Wisebch karate students win trophies at first WTKO inter dojo competition

On Sunday 31st July a team of 14 samurai students from Wisbech, Terrington & Downham classes attended the very first WTKO inter dojo competition in South Leverton Lincs.
On Sunday 31st July a team of 14 samurai students from Wisbech, Terrington & Downham classes attended the very first WTKO inter dojo competition in South Leverton Lincs.

A team of 14 Shotokan Samurai Karate School students from Wisbech, 
Terrington and Downham classes attended the very first WTKO inter dojo competition in South Leverton, Lincolnshire.

They competed in various Kata and Kumite groups, winning points for each victory and bonus points for winning the overall section.

The final event was a selected team Kumite event. The group won a total of 16 individual medals and amassed 68 points along the way, winning the Samurai Shogai Trophy by 26 points.

Sensei Steve King said: “It was a fantastic day of competitive karate with excellent spirit and attitude from all competitors which produced some notable performances from our students.

“Their confidence and abilities grow with each event they attend and we are so proud of their success and of how hard the students have trained.”
