Winner of the second year of the Robert Lefevre March Squash Club Handicap tournament was Chris Parsons.
The youngest entrant, a former pupil of Neale-Wade School in March and currently a second year student at Leicester University, he had an exciting final against long standing club member Marcus Allebone.
After the match Parsons said, “It was a tough tournament and great credit must go to the handicap organisers.”
Well known local businessman, Ed Lefevre - son of the late Robert Lefevre - sponsored the tournament and presented Chris with the annual trophy and a new racket.
Mr Lefevre added: “I hope that we can welcome more players of all ages and skills to play at the club.”
March is enjoying an excellent start to the league season, entering two teams into the Cambridgeshire winter leagues.
With three courts available, it was decided to hold the first club racketball handicap tournament at the same time. Numbers playing at March are increasing. The tournament winner was Adie Poulter who had a good result over Andrea Alexander. The event was organised and sponsored by Les Mills.
