New Wisbech Town CC captain Gary Freear got off to a perfect start in Cambs Tucker League Division One at Harecroft Road.
The hosts eventually overcame Warboys in a low-scoring game.
Wisbech set just 132 on a perfect batting pitch with a fast outfield, James Williams top scoring with 42.
Warboys were well-placed on 83-3, but Kiwi overseas player Tom Meyrick captured top scorers Mathew Cooksey and Matt Duncan, and Gary Freear took a couple of wickets as Warboys collapsed to 117 all out.
Reigning Division One champions Ramsey lost by five wickets to Histon.
March 1st XI produced a gutsy performance against Ketton despite losing by seven wickets at The Avenue on Saturday, with just two overs remaining of the opening Tucker League fixture of the season.
Matty Vail hit a fluent half-century during a determined March batting display, which allowed them to total 198-8 from their allotted 48 overs.
The backing scores came from openers Tommy Howgego (28) and David Hodson (24), with Toby Nulty contributing a very useful 29 at the end.
Leg-spinner Nulty and Howgego combined after tea to snap up the three wickets to fall, as they shared 24 overs between them.
Not surprisingly, former MCCU skipper Rob Woolley hit 67 and shared in an opening stand of 114 with another ex-March player, Jake Miller, who scored his maiden Tucker League half-century.
Toby Nulty picked up his third man of the match award in as many games, as he steered the Sunday 1st XI to the club’s first victory of the fledgling season.
They beat Stewart and Lloyd at The Avenue by six wickets in Rutland League Division 2 – the stand-in skipper taking 4-18 and then scoring an unbeaten 40.
The visitors were dismissed for 118, with Josh Fox and James Beresford each bagging a pair and then John Wallis top-scored with 41 in reply.
