After a five-week sojourn, Wisbech racers will return to action at King’s Lynn’s Adrian Flux Arena in a packed afternoon of banger racing on Sunday (1pm).

The 50-strong entry for the Unlimited Nutcracker includes several from the Wisbech-based Gypsy Crew outfit, headed by Kevin McClagish. He will be joined by Billy Cunningham, Dave Norris, Barry Overland and Daniel Pegg, with the squad sure to continue their ongoing feud with the Predators.

Rising stars Ryan Leeks and Joe Bowers are also set to be in action, alongside fellow Wisbech drivers Nicky and Nathan Young.

The 1500cc Bangers contest their biggest title of the year, the National Championship. Wisbech teenagers Ross Klyn and Jack Maryon will be aiming to make the grid for the event via the last-chance qualifying race, as will Nick Wakeham.

The stars of the future will be on show in the Junior Bangers. Wisbech pair Lee Barnes and Lenny Murkin are among the entry, with Murkin aiming to add to his three race wins in his last three meetings at the track, in the last action before Christmas.
