March Athletic Club and Three Counties Running Club members took part in the real and virtual London Marathon events at the weekend
Fenland runners were out in their numbers at the London Marathon over the weekend - and 83-year-old Pat Brown was one of the stars of the show.
Pat, who is a member of March Athletic Club, impressed everyone as he completed the 26 miles in just over seven hours (7:10:06).
He was joined by seven fellow club members as they jogged through the streets of the capital.
Toni Alcaraz was fastest for March, crossing the line in 3:01:10 and beating her previous best London time by over five minutes.
Emma Tuck wasn't far behind (3:09:39), with Karen Patterson third-quickest.
A further three runners completed the Virtual London Marathon, pounding round the local streets.
Their running pack even included a mini finish line for friends and supporters to hold up at the end of their races.
First home in the virtual race was Mike Blackledge in 4:12:21, followed by James Arran and Jordan Lancaster.
Three Counties Running Club also had four members travel to the maratohn, with six more taking part in the virtual event.
Members enjoyed running by a number of landmarks, including Cutty Sark, The Shard, Tower Bridge and Canary Wharf.
Michelle Brown ran a fantastic personal best of 3:42:59, while Richard Stapleton ran his first ever marathon in 3:57:03.
Tracey Else ran a fantastic race to put a lot of demons to bed, finishing with a fantastic time of 4:39:39, while Tamara Barnes ran her first marathon in a fantastic PB time of 5:15:28.
The fantastic results didn’t stop there as the virtual runners had some great times.
Amy Baxter ran a fantastic PB in 4:01:37, while Lauren Day had a fantastic time of 4:25:00.
Matt Hunter wasn't far off his PB with 4:51:48, while Kim Coultard and Sarah-Jane Macdonald ran together and finished in a great time of 5:40:15.
