Both March Town United senior sides lost on Saturday by the same scoreline, 2-1.

The first team lost at home to Woodbridge Town. It was a poor display, with the visitors taking the lead in the first half.

Luke Pepper put March on level terms, but Woodbridge got the winner to condemn hosts March to four defeats on the trot.

This leaves March tenth in Thurlow Nunn Division One with 16 points from 13 games.

Next Saturday they travel to Leiston Reserves who are one place above the Hares on goal difference.

The Reserves lost their second game in a row in a tough game at Eaton Socon. Ollie Cooper got the goal but both he and a home player were sent off.

March Town 3 Hungate Rovers 2

The Hares made hard work of a stubborn Rovers side.

Despite superior possession and chances for the Hares, Hungate scored with their only two real efforts.

March had the lead twice in the first half. Shannon Kelly scored well with an effort at the far post and she got a second, headed in from a corner. Adele Munday claimed the points in the second half when she directed in an Emma Searle corner.

PoM: Charley Miller.

March Saracens 5 C.S.K.A Young Boys 3

Saracens came out worthy winners in this King’s Lynn Sunday League Cup match.

Striker James Hazel poked home from close range. This was followed by a similar effort from strike partner Ash Impey but C.S.K.A hit back with a fine strike just before the break.

In the second half the hosts stepped up a gear and strikes from Dale Browne and Matthew Cox (2) made the game safe.

MoM: Joseph Buckley.
