March Athletic Club gives out annual awards

March Athletic Club felt it more important than ever to recognise its members who have kept the club surviving through a very difficult year by renewing their membership and participating in weekly training sessions and monthly challenges.

In any other year, the awards would have been presented at the club’s Christmas party, but given that couldn’t go ahead because of COVID-19 restrictions, the awards were announced on Sunday, December 20, to coincide with the BBC Sports Personality of the Year awards.

The committee considered all the runs members completed this year, some actual races and many virtual and made the following awards:
