Saddle up for annual King’s Lynn Reliability Ride
With the winter season still here and the weather conditions being somewhat challenging, King’s Lynn Cycling Club members have been active in their training for the forthcoming season.
This starts on Good Friday, March 25, with the first 10 mile time trial at Tottenhill; more information to follow.
Also KLCC has many members competing in events and sportives throughout this coming year which can be an individual or a team challenge.
Members have been out on the regular winter social rides, which usually takes place on Sundays at The Sandboy car park at Bawsey near Lynn and departing usually around 9am. They ride in appropriate speed determined groups to various distances suitable for the weather conditions. Some members also go out on mountain bikes in Shouldham Warren or Brandon Country Park to mix up training.
Others attend specific spin classes at Sports Direct in Lynn on Tuesday evenings and recently started up power spinning classes on Thursday evenings with Heros Gym, also in Lynn. Both these classes also offer a core session after-spin.
When lighter evenings are here in the Spring KLCC will then also run regular Thursday evening training rides throughout the Summer starting from The Sandboy at Bawsey starting usually around 6.15pm. New riders are welcome and will be supported as groups ride out at the speed of the slowest rider. Requirements are a roadworthy bike, spare inner tube and a working light.
All these classes, rides and social information of the forthcoming season time trialling events can be found on the website.
