Samurai School ends super year at Wisbech
Following the success of Samurai Karate School students who entered the WTKO Nationals, SKS decided to hold their own first school competition.
The event was supported by Sensei Simon Bligh, a Senior Sensei from the WTKO, and saw 118 category entries on the day. Students entered from Wisbech, Terrington and Downham classes, some as young as six, and the day was a great success.
Sensei Bligh presented the winners with their medals and helped with the refereeing and judging.
Some of the junior students were working as officials to develop their experience and skills in this area.
Sensei Steve King said: “I would like to thank everyone who helped to make this a most brilliant way to end what has been a truly brilliant year for our school. Karate really has had a positive impact on their lives.
“We will be building on this success in 2016 with plans for new classes and some sessions with top instructors, and more competitions.”
