FORMER March Town CC all-rounder Steve Seymour is due to jet in to play four weeks for the club starting on Saturday, July 28 to bolster their injury-hit ranks.
The Australian cricketer played for the club in 2008 and 2009, and March skipper Chris Ringham explained about his guest appearance on these shores: “Steve has been over once or twice before since then. I keep regular contact with him on things like Facebook.
“Steve has got a British passport. I’ve known that he is coming over for a holiday and that he wants to come and watch the Olympics. He wants to get some practice before their season starts.
“He lands on July 26 and he is due to be available on four Saturdays starting at Saffron Walden.
“It is great to have a class player making his services available. The more players we have available, the better as we are struggling with injuries.
“I’m out for the season, Rob Toombs has been injured and Tyler Phillips has been out for a couple of games.”
