Wimblington were the better side in the opening quarter but four quick passes saw March take the lead against the run of play through Kyle Sharman.
March began to get on top but they were pegged back by Martin Porter's sixth goal of the season from the penalty spot.
There were chances at both ends to win the game, Wimblington hitting the post and March having an effort cleared off the line, while Max Flintoft pulled off a great stop at the end.
March Town A and Chatteris Town Reserves drew 2-2 in 1B with Hares substitute Jesse Cowles notching a brace for the Hares while Charlie Munns and Joe Stead replied for the Lillies.
In 2B, Wisbech St Mary Reserves held high-flying Soham United to a 1-1 draw, Jason Chilton netting for the Saints and the points were also shared between Manea United and Soham Town Development with Matthew Kent on target for the home side.
Unbeaten Wisbech St Mary Development A carried their good league form into the Cambs Lower Junior Cup where Leverington Sports A were dispatched 3-0.
Willis Wright's fourth goal of the campaign was added to by Kieran Roberts and Lewis Loates.
