Talbot edges Wisbech Wheelers second spot behind McClure

Triathlete Mat McClure remains the dominant regular competitor in the Wisbech Wheelers Tuesday evening series and was the only rider inside 23 minutes.

Things remain much more fluid further back with John Talbot holding second place by just three seconds from Phil Lee.

In the ladies section Becky Hamilton was fastest and her battle with Becky Murley was on hold this week with Murley taking a break after posting the fastest ladies’ time in the bike section in a Triathlon.

Father and son team Richard and Warren Eve continue to pick up the pace and 60+ vet Paul Sims was joined by daughter Charlotte on the tandem in her first race.

Results, May 3, 10 miles: Ladies – R Hamilton 27.15, L Campion (vet 50+) 28.59, D Hallahan (vet 60+) 32.49. Men – M McClure 22.25, J Talbot 23.17, P Lee 23.20, S Emmett (Performance Coaching) 23.32, A Ward 24.16, R Elbury 24.51, D McClure 24.58, G Horspool 26.14, A Bye (vet 60+) 26.18, S Webster 26.29 P Baldwin (vet 60+) 26.40. Team – R & W Eve 26.13. Tandem – P & C Sims 26.57.

Correction to last week’s results: Fastest Wisbech rider in KLCC Open ‘10’ – S Emmett 22.52.
