Tydd St Giles golfers host presentation evening
It was a day of celebration at Tydd St Giles Golf Club as members gathered for the Men’s Trophy Presentation Day and Better Ball competition, marking the end of another successful golfing season.
The Betterball competition provided a fitting finale, with the quartet of Jonathan Hubbard, Paul Brown, Darren Jimson, and Steve Dewey taking top honours with an impressive 106 points.
They were pushed all the way by Ryan Rout, Jimmy Woods, Terry Pease, and Hank Pooley, who finished just one point behind on 105, claiming the runners-up spot on countback.
The presentation ceremony followed, with trophies handed out to the club’s top performers across a busy 2025 season.
Among the standout achievers was Terry Pease, who was named Tydd’s Player of the Year, receiving the prestigious Ken Doughty Trophy.
Pease’s consistent excellence throughout the season saw him lift both the John Gamble Cup and the Directors Salver, while also finishing runner-up in the Gold Medal Order of Merit.
