Fenland athletes take on Snetterton race and Heckington 10-miler
Three Counties Running Club member James Hall took part in an event hosted by Good Running Events.
The event welcomes all abilities and ages to the iconic Norfolk Race Track, to run a 10K or 5K route around the fast, flat tarmac course of Snetterton.
Once in the race, the course and Marshall’s were great and it was a lovely event.
Hall finished in a great time of 43:52 - just outside his personal best.
TCRC members Richard Allen and Katie Vargeson took part in the Heckington 10 miler.
First held in 1965 this is the oldest road race in the Midlands.
This year the race was restricted to 350 entrants and the race was run in association with Sleaford Striders Athletics Club.
The route consisted of two laps of the show ring and out the gate to the road and around the village then back in with the home straight on the grass.
Vargeson had a fantastic run, not only finishing with a great PB time of 1:08:47 but also as fifth female, 54th/ 285 and won first in her age category FV35.
Allen also had a fantastic PB run of 1:10:47 and finished in 64th position.
