There has been official recognition for Three Counties Running Club (TCRC) going from strength to strength.

Its progress in the three years since the club started was recognised on Thursday night at The Living Sports Awards 2019 (Karen Louise and club chairman Gary Ingrey pictured below with the award).

The Living Sports Awards are where hundreds of individuals and clubs have been selected and shortlisted to win different categories within the field of sports. TCRC had been selected as one of the finalists for the Community Club of the year award which recognises inclusive clubs making a big difference in their community.

TCRC strive to include everyone and involve the community with their activities, including family-friendly fun runs like the Santa Run, Easter Run and Summer Relay and also fundraising for money to get some new lights in Wisbech Park to help the community feel safer in the darker areas of the park. TCRC were ‘over the moon’ when the club was voted as Community Club Of the Year 2019.

Chairman, Gary Ingrey, said: “We at TCRC are immensely proud to have received this award. It recognises our commitment to bring the sport of running to help integrate our community and promote physical and mental fitness.

“We thank Living Sport and all those who have supported and worked with us to achieve this fantastic recognition.”
