ChromaSport & Trophies Intermediate Shield Semi-Final

Spalding Town 0 Tydd SM 1

After beating Division One side Long Sutton last week to reach their first cup final of the season, Tydd St Mary beat a Division Two side.

On 27 minutes MoM Daniel Piccaver headed home a Will Kirkham free kick to give Div Three Saints the win.

The final will be against Div Two Whittlesey Athletic A in April or May.

Manager Carl Wilson said: “Every player stood up strong and played their hearts out.”

Cambs League

Marchester Utd 3 Cottenham “A” 1

The away side got a penalty early in the second half, but John Feltell with a free-kick, Ant Horn from close range and Daniel Symonds replied. Next Marchester are in cup action and hope to continue this winning streak.

March Saracens 4 Three Holes 0

Saracens returned to winning ways in the King’s Lynn Sunday League via goals from Alan Irvine 2, Jim Smith and an Ash Taylor header.

Upwell 0 Whittlesford U Res 3

In the second half, Whittlesford scored three headers. Upwell manager, Karl Schultz, said: “We went out with the wrong attitude. Hopefully we react in the right way in the John Ablett Cup semi-final next weekend.”
