Back-to-back wins have put a smile back on the face of Cambs/Hunts Over 60s’ skipper Stuart Unwin, as they strive to reach the last 16 in the Seevent National Cricket League.
The former Wisbech Town captain hit his second half-century of the season in the 20-run victory at Leicestershire a fortnight ago and then helped close a seven-wicket win away to Warwickshire last Tuesday with an unbeaten 38.
In that game a third wicket stand of 85 between March coach Nick Andrews (68) and co-manager Pat Ringham (65no) saw them chase down Warwickshire’s 195-6.
Cambs/Hunts Over 60s 2nd Xl went down by three wickets to Norfolk at Wisbech on Thursday.
The local county made 162-6 before tea and Norfolk won with three overs to spare.
March’s Glen Hulley snapped up two wickets.
Another March player has been in the wickets for Cambs Over 50s, who are the in-form side in this year’s Eastern Region.
Richard Green took 2-35 as Lincolnshire were dismissed for 151 at Foxton. Cambs won by nine wickets.
