Upwell took all three points in their Cambs League 5C local derby encounter with Outwell Swifts Reserves to complete a treble of wins this season.

Earlier in the season Upwell ran out winners in both previous fixtures 6-1 (cup) and 1-0 (league). On this occasion Upwell scored three without reply.

Scott Beetlestone opened the scoring midway through the first half, but Upwell had to defend well.

Following a couple of changes, Upwell started to take control of the match.

Aiden Rouse from Outwell had the chance to equalise 10 minutes before time, but put wide after being one-on-one with Luke Fage.

Five minutes from time Jonny Allen scored a header, before turning provider for Mario Santos to put the game beyond doubt.

Upwell Res lost 3-0 to Chatteris Fen Tigers Reserves.

Benwick Athletic 4,

Fenstanton Res 1

Benwick continued their impressive post Christmas League 3b form at home to Fenstanton Res, who had only lost twice all season.

Cam McGarvie scored with a diving header but Fenstanton quickly equalised. Greg Hoffman then missed a penalty, only to make amends in the second half with a low half volley. A scissor kick from Jordy Tombling and a well-taken finish from James Osbourne completed the scoring.
