Wisbech Cycling Club members have continued to impress with their racing times
Wisbech bikers have been defying their ages to record a series of impressive times.
Rider Tony Bye only started cycling in his 60s, but has still managed to get faster as he has gotten older.
Last Wednesday, he rode in the Veterans Time Trial Association 10 Mile near Cambridge.
He rounded the course in a time of 24 minutes and 18 seconds, getting close to the 25mph average speed that all serious time trialists aim to beat.
Wisbech 70+ supervet Roger Sewell also raced on Saturday, cycling 25 miles in the Leciestershire Road Club event.
He achieved a time of 1:00:50.
Neil Empson cycled even further on Sunday in the East District 50 mile event. He suffered a puncture at the 48-mile mark, but battled on valiantly and still managed to record a time of 1:59:50 - beating the 25mph average.
