On a surprisingly warm Sunday morning, Matt Pyatt of Walpole St Andrew ran in the Sidcup 10 mile road race in Kent which also incorporated the British Masters 10 mile road championships.

The course was three laps run on roads and pavements because the road was still open to traffic. Matt was keen to improve on his previous best time of 56-10 set three months ago in December in Peterborough.

Running a well paced race of 27-30 for the first five miles and 27-43 for the second, he was able to chip 57 seconds off of his previous best.

He finished fifth overall in a strong field of 480 runners and 2nd M35 in a new PB time of 55-13 to take the British Masters silver medal home.
