Reserve player Bradley Williams was last night set to make his Wisbech Town first team debut at Sleaford Town.

Fenmen boss Dick Creasey said of the central midfielder: “Every week his name seems to have popped up when people mention who’s had a good Reserves game. It’s a big step up for him, he’s only 18 or 19.

“Yaxley were held to a draw at Sleaford, so it won’t be easy, while Sileby is a must-win game on Saturday.”

Wisbech’s weekend ChromaSport & Trophies United Counties League Premier Division trip to Long Buckby was postponed following a pitch inspection, and they look ahead to hosting Northampton Sileby Rangers next Saturday.

Matt Lunn, who was unavailable for the midweek trip due to work, returns to the squad and Creasey will assess the fitness of assistant boss Paul Cousins, who tweaked a hamstring for the Reserves and missed the Sleaford game.

The player the Fenmen put in a seven-day approach for is set to join, but not before the weekend.
