Wimblington 2nds beat the rain but couldn’t quite get past Cambridge NCI 4ths at Parkfield.

Chasing the visitors’ 155 all out, Wimblington started brightly with Matty Day scoring 43 and 14 year old Connor Porter, in good form, 27. A flurry of late wickets left them agonisingly close to a win, finishing on 150 all out.

Wimblington 1sts picked up maximum points after Pymoor conceded, keeping them just behind second placed Chatteris 2nds ahead of a trip to Haddenham this weekend. The 2nd team will entertain Wisbech Town 4ths.
