Wisbech League ace Brian takes world silver


Brian Hill, who plays in the Wisbech League and is the nation’s number one-ranked over 70’s, is now the number two in the world having won silver at the World Veterans Table Tennis Championships in Spain this month.

Hill, who is 71, competed in the 70-74 years section in Alicante.

He lost in the final to Denmark’s Neils Ramberg 3-1. He was runner-up two years ago in New Zealand and is ever-more determined to win gold in Las Vegas in 2018.

Hill plays in the Wisbech and King’s Lynn Leagues for the Wisbech Wizards team out of Pinnacle House in Wisbech.
