Wisbech Samurai Karate School hosts first-ever Japanese Sensei
History was made at Wisbech Samurai Karate School by hosting their first-ever Japanese Sensei in 18 years.
Takeishi Kitagawa Sensei is ranked 6th Dan with the JKS, a renowned Japanese Karate Association. He has taught at the JKS HQ in Japan and been running the JKS in the USA for the past 12 years.
He is a good friend of the WTKO and was flown over from Ireland by Scott Langley, Sensei head of the WTKO GB just to be with SKS for the day.
He bought the great unique Japanese character to the dojo with a balance of entertainment and great skill. He had the attention of the students from the second he started to the second he finished.
Sensei Steve King said: “It was great honour to host Kitagawa Sensei and he left a great deal of Karate education with us. He was so impressed with the students that Sensei has asked to return next year.”
The two sessions of training was attended by over 90 students.
Classes are at: Hudson LC Wisbech, Thursdays and Saturdays; Terrington St Clement, Tuesday, contact 07843 414433 or www.samuraikarateschool.com
