Wisbech Three Counties Club nets running award at Shouldham XC

Saturday morning saw members flying the Three Counties RC flag at Parkruns near and far.

Colin Simpson and Sue George took to the Conkers Parkrun in Leicestershire whilst Steve Clarke ran at the multi terrain March Parkrun. Closer to home, nine members ran at King’s Lynn Parkrun where four runners achieved new PB’s. Adam Chown chased down his second sub-20 minute time and second PB run this year, closely followed by junior member Morgan Harrison who also sub-20 PB’ed. Steve Whitelam also took 10 seconds off his PB time. Fay achieved a sub-30 time and a new PB of 29:04.

On Sunday, ten runners took to the final Shouldham Cross Country event of the season. There were PB’s for many runners including junior runner Maisie MacDonald who knocked 2.5 minutes off her PB, Morgan also had a good run. Adam and Colin pulled ahead of the TCRC pack, followed by Jonathan Summers.

There was a nice chain of TCRC runners headed by Steve Rhodes who was closely followed by Paul Stratford and Sarah Melton-Whitelam. Colin Simpson and Sue George both achieved age category placings, whilst the club as a whole picked up the award for most improved club of the series.
