WTHC has been in community coaching at Peckover School and Thomas Clarkson Academy

By Pete Woodhouse

Wisbech Town Hockey Club celebrated at its annual end of season dinner and awards night.

The event took place at Wisbech Grammar School's Skelton Hall and thanks to them and Jayne Johnston catering team.

The evening is also an opportunity to present awards to the talent the club has within it. Since June 2018, in conjunction with England Hockey and Hockey Futures, WTHC has been out in the community delivering coaching to both Peckover School and Thomas Clarkson Academy.

The biggest round of applause went to the Ladies 3rds team who after a couple of difficult seasons rebuilding, proudly announced that they were the most successful team across the whole club this season.

A great evening was closed out with speeches, raffles and a disco from local DJ Stuart Warren. Many thanks go to all those involved and all proceeds from the event will go towards the club's Crockey Project for their new clubhouse.
