Wisbech Town keeper Vince is spot-on
Wisbech Town goalkeeper Sam Vince was on target as his team won 3-0 at Sleaford on Saturday.
Penalty specialist Vince notched the first of three second-half goals in the ChromaSport United Counties League Premier Division as the Fenmen keep up hopes of making the top six in the final standings.
His spot-kick on 66 minutes was followed by strikes from Michael Frew (74 minutes) and Leigh Adams (80) at Eslaforde Park as the two teams met for the first time this season.
This was after a quiet first half of almost no chances. The hosts had an effort disallowed for offside in stoppage time.
The result puts the Fenmen three points behind sixth-place Northampton Sileby Rangers.
Sam Murphy and Billy Smith netted for Wisbech in their midweek 3-2 loss to Eynesbury. Attendance was 98 at the Alfred Hall Memorial Ground.
Next Saturday the Fenmen entertain ninth-position Newport Pagnell Town.
