Wisbech Vets face national finals

Wisbech Town Hockey Veterans are playing in the National Finals at the Olympic Park on Sunday.

The club is hoping for a change in fortune after failing to win three finals in the last 16 years. Four members of the team have experienced the disappointment before, giving them added incentive to go one better.

It will also be a special day as it’s the last game in a Wisbech shirt for ex-New Zealand international Brad Apted as he returns Down Under after 18 years at the club.

The game starts at noon. All supporters welcome, see the following website for more information: www.englandhockey.co.uk/tickets
