The Hares were back on the winning trail thanks to a Dan Woods goal despite Gerard Evans being sent off for two yellow cards.

The red card meant March were down to ten men for about an hour. However Woods made it 25 goals for the season before a late Sudbury reply.

First he took advantage of a poor goal-kick to rifle home from 18 yards. Then he dispatched a penalty after new signing Andre Odain was fouled in the Sudbury box.

Joint boss Chris Bartlett said: “The first booking was very questionable but the second was definitely one.

“After a month-long lay-off, several players looked short of fitness and we lacked sharpness. We worked hard in the second half. We want to finish the season as we should do.”

Next Saturday March are away to Team Bury, and Bartlett would like to get in another player as Denny Escorcio (in Portugal) and Juliano Menezes (work) are currently unavailable.

Jordan Fiddes (calf) is a fitness doubt.
