Barton Manor Care Home in Wisbech is hosting its first birthday bash and country and western event

A care home in Wisbech is celebrating its first birthday with a couple of events lined up.

Barton Manor Care Home is putting on a birthday bash on Wednesday, September 4 from 2pm-4pm.

The event is black tie and ball gown themed and is open for the public to go along and celebrate with the home.

On the day the mayor of Wisbech will be there as well as council members.

One of the carers who sang on their opening day will be performing in the afternoon.

On Sunday, September 15, Barton Manor will also be holding its first country and western event from 2pm onwards.

There will be a country and western singer entertaining visitors on the day as well as fancy dress.

The care home will be decorated in the theme with hay barrels and a blow-up horse.

It is a day dedicated to welcoming the community in for an afternoon of fun.
