Public's Wisbech Market Place artwork on display at town library
Artist Dan Donovan is bringing together all the paintings created at his recent public art event at Wisbech Library on Saturday, April 16.
This occasion is a chance to see work created by the public when the Wisbech-based artist brought his colourful Art Station to the Market Place along with fellow artist Hilary Cox Condron last month Condron and invited people to have a go.
Dan says: "I’m really excited to put this exhibition of work together for its first public viewing. These communal works express positive creativity from the wonderful Wisbech community.
"Starting with a blank canvas and inviting people to paint freely is like rolling a dice, it’s always exciting to see people engage with art and let the paint talk.
"It’s such a rewarding experience to witness the creation of expressive art and these finished paintings deserve to be seen.’
The exhibition is a one day viewing opportunity, with a reception at the Wisbech Library in the upstairs gallery space. There will be free refreshments served and hosted by Dan and his Art Station team.
The event runs from 12.30pm to 3pm and numbers may be limited, so email in advance to add your name to the guest list: dan-d@theartstation.co.uk
