12-year-old cyclist taken to hospital after collision with car on Weasenham Lane in Wisbech




A young cyclist has been taken to hospital after being involved in a collision with a car.

Police were called at 3.30pm on Wednesday following reports of a collision involving a car and a cyclist on Weasenham Lane in Wisbech.

The crash, which involved a Smart Fortwo and a 12-year-old boy, happened at the junction with Corporation Road.

Emergency services attended and the boy was taken to the hospital for treatment of serious, but not life-threatening, injuries.

The road was closed while the incident was dealt with.
