A LEVELS 2016: More top grades at Wisbech Grammar School

High-achieving pupils at Wisbech Grammar School are now preparing for the move to their chosen universities after securing top A level grades.

Seventy-five per cent of entries achieved A* to C grades this year, with a quarter achieving either A or A* results.

Although both figures are somewhat lower than last year, headteacher Chris Staley said he was delighted with the results.

He said: “This is testament to their hard work and the support given to them by the superb teachers at Wisbech Grammar as well as their parents who have been with them every step of the journey.

“There are some outstanding results to highlight: Nicholas Rayns (Spalding) achieved three A* grades and one A grade.

“Jacob Kelman (Spalding) achieved one A* grade, two A grades and an A* grade for his Extended Project Qualification (EPQ).

“Jasmine Clench (Wimblington, March) achieved one A* grade, two A grades and an A grade

for her EPQ, and Charles Pindar (Downham Market) achieved one A* grade and two A grades.”
