Wisbech St Mary Academy’s annual fireworks display proves a whizzing success
A Fenland school’s annual firework extravaganza was nothing short of a “sky-high” success after raising an incredible £14,900
Organised by Wisbech St Mary Academy’s Parent, Teacher, Friend Association, the event dazzled attendees with a breath-taking array of fireworks that lit up the night sky.
The community came together in full force, creating an unforgettable evening filled with joy and excitement.
The incredible £14,900 total will go directly to benefit the school and pupils, allowing the chance to enhance the curriculum with new resources and opportunities.
These funds will help provide an even richer educational experience for all students here, ensuring they have access to the best possible learning tools.
Headteacher Jaynie Lynch said: “I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to everyone who attended and supported our annual firework display. Your presence and generosity have made this event a tremendous success. In these times of tight school budgets, every contribution counts, and raising £14,900 is truly remarkable.
“This money will go a long way in helping us enhance our curriculum and provide new resources for our students. This will enable us to provide an even richer educational experience for our students, ensuring they have access to the best possible learning experiences, including taking part in projects such as; the Fenland Grow Project, Bits & Bytes, participation in the ‘Into Film Festival,’ and so much more.
