Plans for affordable homes scheme at Outwell

A scheme that could create 26 affordable homes at Outwell has been lodged with West Norfolk planners.
It is an outline application at this stage asking permission to develop the one hectare site at Whetstone Way on the south-west edge of the village.
The scale of the development will be considered later but is expected to be mainly two-storey buildings with some bungalows and to include open green space.
They will all be classified as affordable - for rent, leasehold or shared ownership.
A planning statement submitted with the application by the developer, housing association Cross Keys Homes, claims it will help to redress a severe housing crisis in the borough.
