Local groups and voluntary organisations are being invited to apply to a Chatteris firm for financial help with projects.

To date, Stainless Metalcraft in Chatteris has donated over £20,000 to 55 non-profit organisations to help with some great projects.

The nuclear engineering firm is now urging people from Chatteris, Benwick, Doddington, Manea, and Wimblington, to apply for a donation for their organisation.

Local groups can apply for a financial helping hand from Stainless Metalcraft's community fund.

On its website, Metalcraft says: “Metalcraft has a long and proud tradition of providing both financial & non-financial support to local organisations, but we now have a more structured approach.

“We ensure that all eligible organisations have the opportunity to apply for funding to help maintain a diverse range of organisations that can continue to develop and grow within Chatteris and surrounding villages of Benwick, Doddington, Manea, and Wimblington.”

Judging criterion includes proving the group is supporting and benefiting the local community, providing opportunities for all members of the community, developing a wide range of activities, promoting health and environmental improvements, and projects that instill pride and promote diversity, equality, and inclusion.

It is also ideal if the application for funds has ‘match funding’.

The current round of applications is open and applicants have until the end of January to make their submissions, and successful applicants will be notified by the end of February.

Application forms are available on Metalcraft’s website.
