The Top Shop Chippy in Bridge Road, Sutton Bridge proves popular new addition

Customers have been queueing up to get a taste of a new village chip shop.

The Top Shop Chippy, in Bridge Road, Sutton Bridge, is already proving popular and busy since opening its doors to the public.

Serving cod and haddock at £7, regular chips £2 and large at £3 the price, and taste, is going down well.

One customer told us: “It is one of the best places round here,” with another adding: “It is good – well priced – no complaints so far.”

And reviews online are equally full of praise with one commenting: “Had cod and chips on Friday, absolutely lovely.

“Good portion and so fresh too – pay a visit if you haven’t already.”

The shop, opened by Amy Towler, is open Tuesday to Saturday and closed on Sundays and Mondays and has been trading for almost eight weeks.
